.Chapter 3.
I stormed out of the lunch room, I’d lost my appetite.
He just had to ruin my day, didn’t he? I thought.
All of my friends caught up with me.
“I’ll kill him.” Sam muttered.
“Thanks for the comfort Sam, but he’s back, and he’s already ruined my day.” I said, my jaw extremely firm when I spoke.
I saw Sam smirk from my comment, but it soon faded when we heard footsteps.
“Guys, leave.” I ordered them.
“No.” Sam said, turning to me.
I stared at him intently. “Yes.”
“You’re extremely stubborn, do you know that?”
“Yes sir, I’m well aware.” I smirked at him.
He grinned and him and Ashlee walked away.
I wheeled around, facing Peyton… Gregory. My face already plastered in an exasperated look. “What do you want?”
“Ivory, I’m here to explain.”
“So you’re past denial now?” I hissed.
“I’m only past the games… Ivory, stop this.”
“Stop what? And my name is Chaotica, Gregory.” I snapped, temper rising.
“Your name is Ivory, and my name is Peyton. Get over it, sweetie.”
“Don’t you dare call me that!”
He rolled his eyes. “You’re pathetic... So I see you’ve moved on?”
I watched him eye the direction that Sam walked off in.
“Yes I have, but no, I’m not dating anyone, fool. And pathetic is more like YOU. Why, are you jealous?” I said angrily.
“No, my silly girl… I’m just upset that you don’t have… Better taste. In men… Or “little boys,” and… Clothes? They’re atrocious. Who are you now, Ivory?”
“Who I’ve always wanted to be, Peyton. You’ve actually taught me a lesson.”
“And what might that lesson be?”
“Don’t run away crying, keep crying and kick the guy where it hurts.” And I did just that. tears spilled over the brim of my eyes, and the same goes for him. I ran off to find my friends.
“Just leave me alone!” I shouted, while running off, tears streaming down my cheeks.
He brings back so many horrible memories… And criticizing me! How dare he? He doesn’t know me, he never did!
I ran into Sam first. I wrapped my arms around him, while my tears created wet stains on his AFI t-shirt.
“It’ll be okay.” He said, hugging me back.
It was then, that I finally felt safe, safe from Peyton.
